Terms of service

These terms are the agreement between you and Unitcore. Creating an account accepts them. If you do not accept them, do not create one.

They are written to be read, not to be survived. Where something matters, it is said plainly rather than buried.

Who we are

The service at unitcore.io — the website, the API, and the MCP server that connected AI assistants talk to — is operated by:

"We" and "us" below mean that person. "You" is the person holding the account.

Your account

You need a working email address, and you must be at least 16 years old. One account belongs to one person. Keep the password to yourself: anything done with your credentials counts as done by you, so tell us at support@unitcore.io the moment you suspect otherwise.

Your member tag is a public handle by design — it exists so people can add you to a space without learning your email address. Share it with whoever should be able to invite you, and replace it from the account menu if you would rather they could not.

Your content stays yours

Everything you put into Unitcore — transactions, tasks, notes, categories, the names of your spaces — belongs to you. We claim no ownership of it and no licence to it beyond the one thing we need to run the service: storing it, backing it up, and showing it to you and to the people you have chosen to share a space with.

We do not read it, mine it, sell it, or train anything on it. The privacy policy says exactly what happens to it.

Spaces are shared on purpose

A space is a circle of people. Everyone in a space sees everything in it, and can change it. Before you invite somebody, understand that you are handing them the whole space, not a corner of it — and that inviting someone into a space is your decision, with your consequences.

The owner of a space can rename it, remove members and delete it outright. Deleting a space deletes what is in it for everybody, and there is no undo. Your personal space is yours alone and cannot be shared or deleted.

Connected assistants

You may connect Claude, ChatGPT or any other MCP client to your account. When you do:

• The client acts as you, within whatever you approved on the consent screen. Read access means everything you can read. Write access means everything you can change.
• What that assistant does with your data once it has read it is between you and its operator, under their terms and their privacy policy. We are not a party to it, and we cannot vouch for it.
• You are responsible for what the assistant does under your token, in the same way you are responsible for what you do yourself. Revoking a connection under Settings → Applications stops it.

What you may not do

Do not use Unitcore to break the law or to hurt somebody. Concretely, do not:

• store or distribute anything unlawful, or anything you have no right to store;
• try to reach data belonging to an account that is not yours, or probe for a way to;
• attack the service — floods, scrapers, load that is plainly not a person using an app;
• resell access, or run it as infrastructure for a product of your own without asking us;
• use another person's account, or invite yourself into somebody's space by deception.

If you find a security hole, tell us at support@unitcore.io rather than using it. We will not come after anyone who reports a problem honestly and gives us a chance to fix it.

What we owe you, and what we do not

We will keep the service running, keep your data where you put it, and tell you before we make a change that would take something away from you.

What we cannot promise is perfection. The service is provided as it is, without a warranty of any kind: we do not guarantee that it will be available without interruption, that it will be free of bugs, or that it will fit a particular purpose you have in mind. It is a place to keep your own records — it is not accounting software, not tax advice, and not financial advice, and nothing it shows you should be treated as any of those.

Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, for lost profit, or for data loss beyond what we can restore from our own backups. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, or for anything else the law does not permit us to limit.

Price

Unitcore is free while it is being built. If that changes, we will say so well before it does, and no existing account will start being charged without agreeing to it first.

Ending it

You can stop at any time: delete what you want gone, and write to support@unitcore.io to close the account. We will delete it, and the privacy policy says what that removes.

We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or that is being used to harm someone. Except where the harm is immediate, we will tell you why first and give you a chance to fix it and to take your data with you.

If we ever shut the service down, we will give at least 30 days' notice and a way to export everything before it goes.

Changes to these terms

The date at the top is the version in force. Small corrections happen without ceremony; anything that changes what you are agreeing to will be announced on the site before it takes effect. Continuing to use the account after that is how you accept the new version, and closing the account is how you decline it.

Law and disputes

If something goes wrong, write to support@unitcore.io first — nearly everything is a misunderstanding that a reply fixes.

These terms are governed by Spanish law, and a dispute that has to go to court goes to the Spanish courts.

If you are a consumer, that last sentence does not bind you: nothing in these terms takes away a right your local law gives you, and you may always bring a claim in the courts of the country you live in.
